September 2023 – Israeli renewable energy developer Teralight has completed the Ma’ayan Tzvi floating photovoltaic (PV) project with a total installed capacity of 31MW, the largest floating PV project in Israel.
The Ma’ayan Tzvi project is located on two reservoirs in northern Israel, and the project cost was approximately $33.8 million
At present, Israel has a total of more than 40 water surface floating photovoltaic power station, these floating power station will continue to output clean electricity, to help Israel in 2030 to achieve renewable energy in the national power structure of 30% of the proportion of the target; at the same time, these power stations will also be effective in reducing the loss of evaporation of the body of water, to protect Israel’s precious water resources.
